Chelsea Football Club is a professional football club based in West London, England. The football club, also known as The Blues, was founded on March 14, 1905. Chelsea FC players play in the Premier League and have spent most of their history in the top tier in English football. They have already won three league titles, four League Cups, four FA Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups and have reached one UEFA Champions League final.

The Stamford Bridge, a football stadium in Fulham, West London with a capacity of 42,055, has served as the club's home since its establishment. In 2003, Russian oil magnate Roman Abramovich bought the club for £140 million.

Chelsea players wear royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks. The club's traditional crest is a ceremonial blue lion holding a staff; a modified version of this was officially adopted for the start of the 2005-06 season.

Chelsea players who have been recognized as the “player of the year” include Peter Bonetti in 1967, Charlie Cooke in 1975, Dennis Wise in 2000, Michael Essien in 2007 and Joe Cole in 2008. Notable managers of the team include Ted Drake, Tommy Docherty, Bobby Campbell, Gianluca Vialli and Jose Mourinho. The current manager of Chelsea Football Club is Luiz Felipe Scolari and the current chairman is Bruce Buck.
